Booking Terms and Conditions
Our courses are taught by qualified, practicing midwives and/or fully trained antenatal instructors, who only give general educational advice about pregnancy, childbirth and new baby care. From time to time we may invite other professionals who are qualified and expert in their field to provide information on their profession and general advice on their area of expertise. Individual particular advice on your own current pregnancy and wellbeing cannot be given under any circumstances and clients must take queries about their own personal health or pregnancy to their Community Midwife, GP, Obstetrician or other appropriate health professional.
The British Birthing Academy Ltd courses have been designed to be up to date and factually correct at the time of teaching and to represent the current accepted professional standards with regards to general maternity advice.
The British Birthing Academy Ltd cannot accept responsibility or liability for any loss, damage or injury to any person or property arising out of or resulting from attendance at our classes. You are particularly advised to take care of all personal property and possessions.
The British Birthing Academy Ltd courses have been designed as a supplement to the information, advice and general instruction offered by your local Hospital and/or your care providers. All course material provided is for general information purposes only and should not under any circumstances be construed in any way as being particular individual medical advice or instruction. You must therefore agree that you will in no way hold the instructors of the classes responsible for any complications that could arise as a result of pregnancy labour, birth or in the postnatal period.
The British Birthing Academy Ltd reserves the right to decline any application to attend any of its classes.
If you, or your partner, feel unwell whilst in attendance at the sessions you should immediately seek the advice of your midwife, GP or other appropriate health professional.
Payment
Once your payment has been received, we will send you a confirmation email.
Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your course booking at any time by letting us know of the cancellation by email or phone. We will acknowledge receipt of your cancellation by email or phone within seven days of receipt.
If you cancel more than one month before the start of the course then you will receive a full refund, less £25 to cover our administrational costs. If you cancel less than one month before the start of the course then no refund will be given. However, under exceptional circumstances, we can offer a full refund at any point up until the course begins. This decision is at the discretion of our management director.
We require a minimum number of participants to run the courses. If for any reason these numbers are not reached then The British Birthing Academy Ltd reserves the right to cancel the course. A full refund will be given in this situation.
Making Up A Session
It isn’t out of the ordinary for our clients to miss a session here or there. In these situations we are only able to facilitate a make-up session if we have availability on another course. You are welcome to check in with us before the start of your course to see whether we could facilitate a make-up session for you but, just to manage expectations, our courses are usually fully booked so it’s unlikely we’ll be able to do so. We cannot be held responsible if you miss information due to a missed session and although we will do our best to fit you into another courses session we cannot provide a guarantee of this.

Viruses, hacking and other offences
You must not misuse our site by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our site, the server on which our site is stored or any server, computer or database connected to our site. You must not attack our site via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of service attack.
By breaching this provision, you would commit a criminal offence. We will report any such breach to the relevant law enforcement authorities and we will co-operate with those authorities by disclosing your identity to them. In the event of such a breach, your right to use our site will cease immediately.

Defamation

Each part using BBA Ltd services agrees not to defame or intentionally cause injury to our reputation, either through oral or written communication.
